Quotes & Poems ~ November 2008

In DESTINY’S grand design there are no random meetings, for all is MEANT to be
~ Flavia

When you have to make a choice and don’t make it, that is itself a choice.  –William James

 “Ancient Alliance” - Lazaris

Ancient Ones and Shining Ones…the boundaries of distinction blur.  As those boundaries blend and blur, you can decisively move from dreaming your dreams, filled with wish and desire, to living them, overflowing with glistening success and happiness.

Rather than trying to separate Ancient Ones from Shining Ones, allow their boundaries to blend and blur.  Allow them to be as one.

When the boundaries blur, the magic, and the love, only increase.

To attend to creation is to attend to God.

To attend to the moment is to attend to eternity.      Pirke Avot

 Noises of Life

Noises on an autumn day seem subdued somehow, but clear.

The geese honking their way overhead.

Ducks splashing and playing amidst the lily pads.

Birds chirping and singing their own special songs.

Traffic – ah yes.

The hum of the highway,  giving an almost constant backdrop to the rest.

The rustling of the leaves as they fall to the ground,

looking so delicate, drifting like a feather.

The gentle lapping of the water on the shore.

A chainsaw cuts through the air, loud, obtrusive.

How dare it interrupt the play of the other sounds?

Gentle and yet not.

Variations on a theme.

Life.

Delight in it.

                                                  ~ Faye Stewart 2002

Every day you must say to yourself, “today I am going to begin.”

                                                                                                            – Jean Pierre De Caussade SJ.

“Isis The Creator” - Lazaris

As you stand upon the pinnacle, poised and ready, surrender to the hush; surrender to the quiet more still than silence.  Awaken the innocence of the moment.

Breathe the breath of spirit.  Embrace the glory of your love.  From this pinnacle you can be lifted: transcendent and free.

WE MISS THEM SO! November 2008

Is death the last sleep?

No, it is the last and final awakening.  ~ Sir Walter Scott

Eternal Vision – J Sig Paulson

 They know me not

who thinks that I am

only flesh and blood –

a transient dweller

on the fragile spaceship earth

that gave me birth.

For I am spirit

eternal, indestructible, not confined to space or time

and when my sojourn here is through

my roles fulfilled, my assignments done

I will lay aside this space suit called my body

and move on to other mansions, roles, assignments,

in our fathers house of eternal life.

So dry your tears

Weep not overmuch for me – or for yourself.

Set me free

in the love that holds us all

and makes us one eternally!

Our paths will cross again

Our minds and hearts will touch

Our souls will shout with joy and laughter

As we recall

the lives we’ve lived

the worlds we’ve seen

the ways we’ve trod

to find ourselves – at last –

In God.
